Jennifer Meador

President | WIID Director

Jennifer has been a R&D Engineer with the Ingevity Corporation for the past 6 years, focusing on manufacturing tooling and additive manufacturing. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering from Tennessee Technological University in 2001 and her Master of Science of Paper Science and Engineering from the Institute of Paper Science and Technology in 2003. She began her career in Charleston with the MeadWestvaco Paper Mill where she concentrated on process engineering and technical sales. After focusing several years on her family as a military spouse and mother, Jennifer and her family returned to the Lowcountry to establish a permanent home.

Outside of professional organizations, volunteering is a passion of hers. Jennifer has been a Board Member of the Girl Scouts of Eastern South Carolina for the past four years as well as a parent volunteer in her daughters’ girl scout troop for the past nine years. She continually volunteers with the Cane Bay High School Band Boosters as president. In her spare time, she enjoys being creative, playing the oboe in the community band and spending time with her family.

Nelie Kouamou

Vice President | Professional Development Chair

Nelie is a value-driven engineering professional with expertise in software development, production analytics, and digital transformation across aerospace, utilities, oil and gas, and manufacturing. At Boeing, she led initiatives that advanced Smart Factory capabilities and real-time analytics platforms, driving data-informed decisions and operational efficiency. She also held roles at Schlumberger, Washington Suburban Sanitary Commission, and NovelLedge Technology, applying her systems engineering expertise in both field and corporate environments.

Nelie holds a Master of Engineering in Industrial & Systems Engineering from Texas A&M University and degrees in Physics and Industrial Engineering. Her work bridges technology and operations to deliver scalable, people-centered solutions. She currently serves as Vice President of the Society of Women Engineers (SWE) – Lowcountry, following three impactful years as Chapter President. Under her leadership, the section launched Alliance for Success: A STEM Professional Development Series and co-hosted the Women in Industry Day Conference, raising scholarship funds and elevating diverse voices in tech.

Nelie is also a community focal for SWE and NSBE. She serves on the Advisory Board of the Charleston Southern University College of Engineering and on ECPI University’s Electronics Engineering Technology and Mechatronics programs. Her work has earned national honors, including the 2024 Modern Day Technology Leader Award and Boeing’s 2023 Technical Replication Award.

Kim Nguyen

Treasurer | Fundraising Chair

Kim Nguyen is an Engineering Technical Specialist for 787 Interiors at The Boeing Company. In this role, she is responsible for financial performance for 787 Engineering Interiors. In addition, she is also responsible for global workforce planning and leading the employee engagement activities for the 787 Engineering Interiors team.

She is a strong champion of people development and D&I, and for the past five years she has taken on several leadership roles in Boeing Resource Groups, the Finance Talent Management team, and in her community. For example, as Chair of the Boeing Asian and Pacific Islander Association (BAPA), she helped increase executive sponsor engagement by 50%, increase membership by 15%, and increase membership participation by 30%. She currently serves as a BAPA advisor. Additionally, she serves as a coach and mentor for newly hired employees and Boeing Resource Group (BRG) board members. She is also involved with several professional affiliations including Ascend, the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA), the Asian American Chamber of Commerce St. Louis (AACC), and the St. Louis Vietnamese Community.

Kim has more than 20 years of experience in the aviation industry. She holds a bachelor’s degree in accounting and a master’s degree in business administration. She also has graduate certificates in Accounting and Organizational Leadership. She strives to continuously learn and seeks opportunities where she can apply her knowledge and experience to help the company succeed. Her career aspirations include moving into management and becoming Director of Supply Chain at Boeing.

She is passionate about the work she does and brings both strong business acumen and a people focus to support the business. On a personal note, she has a beautiful family with her husband and three children. She values her family as an important part of her life and is very close with her parents and siblings.

Leilanie Roberts

Secretary

Leilanie Roberts’ involvement with SWE began in college where she participated in mentorship and professional development events that her University chapter led while she held leadership roles in the American Institute of Chemical Engineers. She attended the Women in Engineering conference in 2022 in Houston, where she had the opportunity to network with fellow women engineers and landed her first full time role at Boeing.
 
Leilanie graduated with honors from the University of South Florida with a B.S. in Chemical Engineering in 2023. Shortly after, she began working at Boeing Research and Technology as a Materials, Processes, and Physics Engineer on the Chemical Technology team, and currently still holds this role. Her technology areas include hexavalent chromium elimination and chemical processing.

Adrien Hensley

Communications & Marketing Chair

This Adrien Hensley’s second term as the Communications and Marketing Chair for SWE Lowcountry, where she has led operational improvements that created more engagement, more clarity, and fewer bottlenecks for chapter leaders. She launched the chapter’s LinkedIn page, growing it from zero to over 260 followers in one year, and reclaimed access to legacy Facebook and LinkedIn business tools that had been out of reach. She also ensured other council members had access and support to post their own updates, building a more sustainable and scalable communications model.

Adrien brings a strong background in agile leadership, systems thinking, and inclusion. With over 18 years of experience transforming how teams work, she is known for bringing clarity to complexity, creating repeatable systems, and empowering others to lead. In her Communications Chair role, she redesigned communications with the member experience in mind, ensuring updates were timely, relevant, and easy to act on.

Looking ahead to FY26, Adrien hopes to continue serving the chapter by streamlining internal workflows, introducing automation tools, and creating shared resources that help the leadership team collaborate with less stress and more clarity. Her vision is a chapter where communication flows easily, operations run smoothly, and all members see a place for themselves.

Adrien lives in Ladson, South Carolina with her family and currently leads a global agile coaching team in financial services and previously held several engineering and technology positions at The Boeing Company. She is a longtime advocate for inclusive leadership and intentional community building.

Soledad Banner

K12 Outreach Chair

Soledad Banner is a Business Intelligence developer who specializes in health care analytics. She builds tools that harmonize decision making strategies and operational function. Her 13 year health care industry career spans across operations, business strategy, and organizational development.
 
In her new role as a Revenue Cycle Manager, Soledad advocates for data science integrity by devising holistic solutions to address business and clinical needs. Soledad is a co-author of Amazon #1 bestseller book Ladies in Tech: Sharing Expertise for a Successful Career. In 2023, she was honored as one of Charleston’s 40 under 40. Soledad’s focus is now on the next generation of young female engineers and in her spare time is the coach of a local Middle School robotics team composed of majority girls.
